About Deborah

Deborah Gould is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, an educator and grandmother who wants to inspire children to explore and learn about their world.   She is excited to share her first children’s book, “Finding Chocolate Alleys!”   The story takes place in a small town with chocolate everywhere and a young girl who likes to explore.  There is endless joy in searching yards and neighborhoods, while using your senses to see, smell, hear, taste and touch as you explore.

As an educator for over 30 years, Deborah was a teacher, counselor and an elementary principal who maintains a strong commitment to bringing literacy to life for all children. It is only natural that her love of words and growing up in a small town with the smell of chocolate in the air needs to be captured in a story.  She now lives in Lancaster, PA where she is still searching for chocolate air.

The story of Annelisa is about looking for one missing item and finding much more than you imagined.  Annelisa is any child who seeks adventure right in their own neighborhood.
